Culture, family and society plays a major role in gender typing in such a way that it can influence the perspective with which different genders are viewed and judged. It can cause changes in gender roles and can also influence the autonomy given to an individual to confirm to his/her gender identity without restriction. It also influences the extend to which one would not only be prejudiced,but also discriminated based upon gender.
