Design a candy bar or healthy alternative based on your personal experiences as a candy bar consumer and your new role as potential marketers. When designing your candy bar, be as creative as you can. However, the candy bar you design must answer the following questions:

  1. To whom will the candy bar be sold? Specify the characteristics of your target market (age, gender, income, health-consciousness, etc.) of your target market segments. Provide a rationale/justification for the market segments you choose.
  2. What is the product? Specify the features such as the ingredients, form, size, packaging, etc and benefits of the candy bar that you think are beneficial to consumers. Provide a rationale for the product you create.
  3. How much will consumers pay for it? Specify the price paid for the quantity received by consumers. What is the price based on?  Provide a rationale for the price you want to charge.
  4. How will consumers find about it? Specify the advertising methods and message you will use to communicate to consumers about the candy bar and the kinds of inducements (coupons, sample, etc.) you will offer to try them out. Provide a rationale for the promotions you want to use.
  5. Where will consumers buy it? Specify the types of retail outlets or “place” where consumers in your target market are likely to buy the candy bar. Provide a rationale for you distribution channels.

Design: The candy will be in a round shape with a brain on one side and heart on another side.

1. Where and to whom will your candy bar be sold?

The candy is planned to be sold in India and China, which has the biggest population on the planet. Thusly there is a high chance of selling more candies contrasted with other nations.

The product segments incorporate each individual irrespective of age, gender, income level, occupation and health cognizance.

2. What is the product?

  • The candy is 100% organic 0% preservative and power-pack of micro and macronutrient needed for the body.
  • The candy is planned to be designed in various weights for example 25gm, 50gm and 150gm separately.
  • The product is planned to be made out of ingratiates, for example, jaggery and honey instead of sugar [this reduced blood sugar level and reduces cholesterol over a period of time – this is useful for heart], pure cocoa power [this is useful for brain functioning], nuts like almonds, walnuts and peanuts made from organic cultivation [this provides balanced macronutrient to the body]

3. How much will consumers pay for it?

Being 100% organic and nutritional people would prefer this product more than existing candies. But the price is an important attribute and as we have a vision of selling to every individual irrespective of age, gender, income level, occupation and health consciousness, we have to make sure that it is not much costly than candies existing in the market. So, looking at the production and distribution cost, marginal profit line will be lead and sold. To my knowledge, we may able to sell 25gm candy bar at 2$, a 50gm candy bar at 4$ and a 150gm candy bar at 8$.

4. How will consumers find out about it?

Being another company and a different type of product, extensive marketing is required to promote the existence of the company and product. Along these lines, a various medium, for example, paper advertisements, magazines, television broadcast, radio broadcast, digital marketing through SEO and online media is planned to be employed.

5. Where will consumers buy it?

The goal was to make the product available at every retail store simply like PepsiCo and Coca-Cola food and beverage products. Sophisticated logistics and supply chain system would be adopted to ensure that every retail store gets this product and comparative product products to be created in the simple future.

6. How is your candy bar different from those already on the market?

The candy bar is 100% healthy and further, the business will ensure that, every business activities benefits every stakeholder and environment to acquire goodwill and positive marketing.

                                  Communication Message planned:

Wishing you healthy heart and overflowing brain

0% Preservative, 100% organic and nutritious

if you have any doubt please comment..Thank you..
