This is done in case of euthanasia, that is the wishful die if a person is sufferig from terminal ill and having unbearable pain.Although this is still an ethical issues. It is legal in many countries but illegal in rest countries. Euthanasia can be accomplished by using lethal injection of the defied drugs.

Physician-assisted suicide is the way of giving a lethal drug for the legal death of the patients or a person. But there are some moral obligations which may be hurdle in taking the decision in this case. Hence there are some set ethical standards to accomplish such controversial practices. If it is legal and the orderrs are given by the court, then there is not any case of rule breaking. But it is illegal in most of the states of US. And hence any physician is assisting in such acts he/she is breking the rules and this is punishable even if the patient is suffering from terminal illness

Finally In my opinion i am against such practices as it's not moral to kill a person even if he/she is terminally ill as there are chance to live.
