Answer: In some of the cases, when inspite of providing better care, the patient does not get relief from their suffering. So, in this case terminal treatment is given. This treatment is given in the condition where the pallative care does not work efficiently. This includes the process of administrating the drug to the patient which keeps the patient unconscious or in sedation until he dies. This reduces the stress and provides relief to the patient as well as suffering till death.

Rational suicide: In this case the people have the authentic reason for dying. They are unable to bear the suffering, or knows that the treatment may not be effective any more. The illness which causes severe burden on the patient and the patient has genuine rational for suicide.

Physician assisted suicide: This is the suice where the physician provides and assist the suicide. When there could be no treatment as well as the suffering can not be further tolerate by the patient. In this case patient ask from the physician to provide relief in dying process. The physician assist with the consent of the patient to die.
