Developing a “ethical” public speaking skills involve developing virtues kr intellectual traits to become an ethical person.
To identify the intellectual traits that are strengths for you and developing other intellectual traits will put you well on the way to developing “Ethical Public Speaking” skills.
In this course, we will focus on developing the following intellectual traits:
1. Intellectual Integrity,
2. Intellectual Independence,
3. Intellectual Perseverance,
4. Intellectual Empathy,
5. Intellectual Humility,
6. Intellectual Courage
7. Intellectual
Fair-mindedness.
To learn more about each trait and how we may develop the
intellectual traits while enrolled in this, we must spend time
reviewing, learning and practicing the content in this handout. As
you review the definitions and examples of intellectual
traits/virtues come up with your own examples of people to
illustrate them. Who keepa in mind that the intellectual traits are
interdependent.
For example some famous speakers who have persevered over the years championing their causes have also encountered dangerous and life threatening situations as they courageously spokeout against injustices.
