Expert Solution

Critical thinking is judicious reasoning about what to believe and thus what to do.

Critical thinking requires

- careful and intentional thinking

- use of reason or logic

- judgement about beliefs

- application of all to real world situations and problems.

Critical thinking in other words is stepping back in a situation and viewing all the angles that are involved, try and get all necessary information, before making judgements or taking decisions.

Identifying the key points ,analysing source of information, weighing up different types of evidences and putting it all together into your brain and forming an independent point of view is critical thinking.

It's not about being critical or critisising ,it's not at all about finding flaws.

To be a true critical thinker means being reflective and adaptible ,evaluating evidences to decide for yourself what is relevant,do I have sufficient information to take decision of a particular topic. Doing all this is called critical thinking.
