- Critical thinking is important in nursing process because they are what you use to prioritized and make key dicisions that can save lives . Nurses give critical care 24/7 so the critical thinking skills of nurses can really mean the differences between someone living or dying.

- Example of critical thinking .

Stages of nursing process involves : assesment , diagnosis , planning , implementation , and evaluation .

Critically thinking nurse will hold patient's blood pressure medicines and contact the physician when he or she notes that the blood pressure is below an acceptable level . In such case lack of critical thinking can put the patient helath in danger .

Assesment : assesment of patient require quick dicisn of nurse how the condition of patient health is and how to take preventive measurement .

Diagnosis : if patient comes in emergency condition nurse should immediately able to quick diagnose the condition and proceed towards the basic treatment .

Planning : Nurse should be able to think quick planning of patient treatment strategy in emergency situation so as to drag the patient out from any discomfort .

Implementation : Nurse should have thorough knowledge and experience so as to imply on patient quickly . Like in airway , breathing obstruction , hemorrage.

Evaluation : evaluation is the condition where treatment is working or not , if not then patient should be diverted on other treatment plan .
