Before going to summarize and critique this article firstly we have to get a brief idea regarding the precede-procede model:it is a model or framework proposed to assess the health needs of the community thus plan and implement for a better outcome thus reduce the incidence of sufferings related to health and promote a healthy behaviour in the community. The model is mainly focusing on the output rather than the inputs. The model is initiating the voluntary participation of the peoples in the community, thus knowing the needs of the community according to that we can properly utilize the resources in an effective way for a better community.Through the application of this model we can successfully implement the helth promotion prograammes and other health related activities bacause of the active participation,And the model cotributes with 4 planning phase,1 implementation phase and 3 implementation phase.By this way we can plan in a genuine way according to the needs and evaluation should be in a thorough way to know the effectiveness or change in behaviours of the community

In this article they focused on the people in China to know the major affecting health problems in the community, their health needs and the factors that promote the problems relating to health and how we can utilize the limited and available resources in an effective way to promote the health, and healthy life style or behaviour of people in a healthy way. Here they selected the communities in China and the data from the communities are collected, during the planning phase they follow all the 4 phases mentioned in the precede-procede model and they follow the methods such as surveys, interviews,Focus group discussion etc.The data of the study were analysed before and after the reserach. Each and every steps of the study the investigators maintained the quality and the subjects of the study were re-interviewed to maintain the quality. The investigators move in each and every step in a systematic way. They follow the administrative and policy diagnosis to facilatate and develop the health promotion programmes and education in an effective way with the available resources or materials. They found the staff shortage in the community and non-effective utilization of available resources. The study suggests that attention should be made to the communities mainly to the rural areas such as health care initiatives and health promotion programmes with whole community participation to prevent and control most of the chronic diseases.

In this study they found that cardiovascular disease is the main health problem due to unhealthy behaviours and unhealthy life-styles and unaware of health awareness and promotion programmes and also mentioned regarding the shortage of staff with adequate skills and knowledge and non-effective utilization of policies for health promotion inthe community

The main critique for the study is limited to some districts and small number of participatants thus result in difficulty in generalization of findings to the country
