Why paediatric nursing? that is the question most people throws upon me.So i would say to them why not paediatric nursing?CHild care during the last decade has undergone dramatic changes in its concepts and practice.This field is one of the broadest and most challenging nursing specialities as it includestudy of growth and development of a total person from conception through adolescence.,as well as prevention,health m aintenance,diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting children during their growing years.In developed countries ,paediatric care and child health programme cater children upto adolescence.

The modern day childcare is a part of a great historical era that involved cultures of many people.Therefore present day child health nurse should know something of the past to appreciate the present fully and respond to the challenges of the future.Therefore i am making an attempt to conquer the subject and in the future help in lightening the enthusiasm of my fellow colleagues who would like to learn child health care nursing as their major speciality.
