Obesity takes place when an imbalance takes place in energy consumption. A person may become victim of obesity if energy intake exceeds the energy consumption with physical activities. Calorie is a form of energy. Calorie intake increases due to unhealthy eating habits.
Cold drinks, chips, fast food etc. are easy sources of calorie intake. When this calorie intake is not consumed through physical activities like exercises or by any other means then it causes obesity in person. Alcohol consumption creates heavy calorie intake.
Food industry keeps main focus on manufacturing of unrefined carbohydrates. They focus on production of food with high fat content. They keep main attention on taste of food products only. This lead to development of habit of overeating.
It increases frequency of eating which causes increase in calorie intake. Lack of physical activity increases the overall agony. Children become habitual of eating such fast foods. Rise in numbers of fast food restaurants is a clear indication of popularity of food industry. This also contributes to the rise of cases of obesity.
