Design and complete a simple experiment using the scientific method. Present a summary of your work.
Your presentation should address all parts of the scientific method.
Do not copy an experiment from the internet
There are right steps in designing and conducting a simple experiment. They are, proposing a testable question, conducting a background research, stating the hypothesis, designing the experiment, conducting the experiment, data collection, drawing the conclusions and publishing the findings. A simple experiment to know how the intensity of light affects the rate if photosynthesis is described below.
Testable question: Does intensity of light affects the rate of photosynthesis?
Hypothesis: The rate of hypothesis is affected by the intensity of light.
Experiment: Pondweed leaf was placed in a beaker containing water. Temperature, pH and nutrient content were controlled. The rate if photosynthesis is then measured by counting the number of gas bubbles formed per minute by adjusting the distance of the source of light.
Results: The rate of photosynthesis was found to be greater if the intensity of light is greater.
