1. For each of the following terms, write a sentence that properly uses one or more terms in context; underline the term(s) used in each sentence: Chemical reaction Products (of a chemical reaction) Dependent variable (of data collection) reactants (of a chemical reaction) aerobic cellular respiration independent variable (of data collection)
A chemical reaction in which the reactants are converted into products accompanied by a release of heat or energy is called an exothermic reaction. It is represented as :
A , B = Reactants and C , D = Products

In an experimental setting, an independent variable is a variable which can be changed while conducting the experiment, whereas a dependent variable is one which changes due to any change made in the independent variable.
For example: Consider an experiment in which the absorbance of chemical solutions of different concentrations have to be measured. Here, the concentrations of the solutions can be changed as per the requirements of the experiment, therefore it is an independent variable. However, absorbance is a material/solution property and will change with the concentration, therefore it is a (concentration) dependent variable.

Cellular respiration is a process in which living cells produce 'energy molecules' in the form of adinosine triphosphate (ATP) by breaking down food molecules like glucose. This conversion of glucose into ATP when carried out in the presence of oxygen is called aerobic cellular respiration.
