Species diversity-reflects the entire range of evolutionary and ecological adaptations of species to particular environments.
Genetic diversity-reflects genetic variation within a species, which is necessary to maintain evolution and species adaptation to changes.

Biodiversity is under serious threat as a result of human activities. The main dangers worldwide are population growth anf resource consumption,climate change and global warming,habitat conversion and urbanisation, over-exploitation of natural resources and environmental degradation.
