Here is why the inconsistency between policies and code
of ethics is considered problematic for managers:
- The inconsistency creates an environment where employees feel
they are discriminated against on the grounds of sex, physical
appearance, background, aga, and the background. It creates
inequality in the organisation.
- The inconsistency in policies and code of ethics impact the
manager's leadership as workers feel explored and team members
don't put an equal amount of effort.
- Managers feel that the workplace is not safe and it also
created insecurity.
- Managers are unable to avoid the risk and hazard conditions
which then creates an atmosphere which is not smooth or safe to
operate.
- Managers are not able to create trust and faith with various
stakeholders like employees and customers.
- It creates a culture where false promises are made, feedback is
not taken seriously and over the time period, customers don't
become loyal.
- The inconsistency between policies and code of ethics lead to
an environment where managers are not sure of sustainable
growth.
- It can lead to bad performance and also set the wrong example
amongst future leaders & managers.
Managers are not able to create long term trust, it impacts
the credibility of the organisation and the team is not able to
retain talent for a long time.
Managers are not able to inspire team members. The open door
communication doesn't exist and because of the inconsistency, the
unethical practices keep increasing.
