Codes of ethics require credible methods of enforcement. Group of answer choices True False
The above statement is TRUE.
Codes of ethics require credible methods of enforcement.
In general a code of ethics is a statement of the norms and beliefs of an organization , that must be followed by every individual in relation to the same organization.
some code of ethics/conduct includes :
a) Honesty
b) Integrity : one must do what is right
c)Transparency
d) follow the rules and regulation.
e) Accountability etc.
integrity and honesty are two faces of a coin , absence of one means nothing to an organization, it cannot go a long run. it would be unsustainable.
lack of integrity may result in an imbalance and instability in our business activities. In any organization the code of conduct requires credible methods for implementation. if for example any farm business challenges that its daily milk production is very high in fact highest in the town. and the number of cattle present in its farm is much less than the amount being produced. so ,it does not have any credible reasons that how the organization is able to perform as said or it is not willing to reveal. then its obvious that the organization must be following the method of adulteration.
people or consumers must believe or be satisfied that what is said by the organization is true with pure transparency that is most important for any organization so here code of ethics is a total failure and it is not being obeyed.
So, in any organization its operational management or its production unit or any other executive unit it must fulfill code of ethics which requires some credible methods of enforcement.
