Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
Determine which level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs each of the items would satisfy.
List them in order of Maslow’s chart.
Of these, which would be least important to a college student and for what reasons?
Maslow Hierarchy of needs theory is a motivational theory based on human psychology for need.
These are the following five stages of needs-
1) Physiological needs like food, water, warmth and rest
A slice of pizza is a physiological need for humans and food is the ultimate goal in human life.
2) Safety needs like security and safety needs in human life.
A membership to a fitness club is a safety and security need for humans and when physiological needs fulfill than a person looking to achieve safety needs in his life.
Life insurance is a security need for a person and through insurance policy person securing his life against future mishappening.
3) Belongingness and love needs like blood relationship and friends.
4) Esteem needs like looking for status, prestige and feeling of accomplishment.
A Rolex watch is a symbol of status and prestige and when a person acquires enough amount of money than looking for his status in society.
5) Self-actualization needs like feeling a person that satisfies with his growth and personal achievement in life.
Life insurance is least important for a student because students are looking for food, workout and premium watch to enjoy his life and show to friends in college.
