I admire Elon Musk as both a leader and a visionary. What sets him apart from the others is the fact that he is an inventor first, an entrepreneur second and a business person last. This combination allows him the ability to innovate and constantly bring about ideas that revolutionized the industry as a whole. Since a business person needs to have the considerations towards business, the fact that he is charismatic, a good leader, values the ideas and input of his people and values collaboration and commitment towards the goal of improvement and innovation represents the characteristics that make him a role model that I look up to. It is not to say that he is perfect or that every decision he makes or has made is at the same level of consideration, but the fact that despite all these factors being present, such as his companies Tesla and SpaceX losing more money than it made, he strives towards change, creativity, and an absolute will to succeed, which makes his ideas visionary, his companies differentiated and his processes sustainable for the future.
