2. What is the Neolithic Demographic Transition (NDT)? Explain what happened, why it happened, and how it is connected to the Neolithic Revolution.
Neolithic Demographic Transition (NDT) is the change in the lifestyle of ancient people from the Hunting Gathering habit to the Agriculture and Domestication of plants and animals. This revolutionary change was first time started in Holocene periods of Geological epoch at an approximate age of about 12700 year BC. This change or revolution was not only confined to local ancient human culture but all human culture at that period stated to change their habit. This was the first revolution in human history. The main cause of the Neolithic revolution at that time was due to limited food availability by the Hunting Gathering system. Not only this the scientific cause behind the revolution was the evolution in temperature pattern after the youngest and very last glacial age. After the glacial age melting of ice causes the origin of various rivers and lakes. This origin of river and lake support the human culture to shift from the Hunting Gathering system to Agriculture and food production.
