If you believe that religion is becoming less important, what is replacing it?
Yes, I think religion is becoming less important day by day. It is being replaced by 'technology'. The creators of new technologies are being given utmost importance and are the new Gods of a technology-driven world. The millennials survive on and for technology. There are people today, who do not believe in the existence of God. They do not believe in the existence of a soul or a spiritual being. They only believe in scientific technologies. Technology has been defined as a set of techniques, methods or processes, which help in the generation of goods or services, attainment of goals like scientific investigation and fulfil consumer requirements. Today, the technology relates to development and realization of self. It is the technology which is helping a person to become his best self, capable and stable in life. There can be a religion-free life, but one cannot imagine life without technology. So, it can be said that religion is becoming less important, and is being replaced by science and technology.
