What is the future of religious or faith-based terrorism? Do you believe religion will continue to be a driving force in other parts of the world resulting in terrorist attacks against the West? What other factors are at play with these terrorist groups who claim religion as their cause?
People were influenced greatly by their religions and almost all the societies were shaped and ruled by the religious texts for a long time. However, the increased level of science and technology led the world out of the clutches of the religions. This would mean that people gained more exposure and experience with the help of technology and globalization that reduced the amount of religious conflicts in the world. However, there are few fundamentalists who still believe in the superiority of the religion and interpret their texts literally and this is common with all the religions. Majority of people in the world would like to live a peaceful life and they would love to respect people from other religions and cultures. Thus, the remaining fundamentalists would also be removed from the world which would stop terrorism in the name of religion but it would cause more terrorism in the name of social inequality.
