It is often distributed via websites, software products, and other online applications. Because paper,hard-copy documentation are less popular. The procedures of documentation vary from one sector to another sector. In general, these may involve document drafting, formatting, submitting, reviewing, approving, distributing, reposting and tracking, etc.,
PHYSICAL SOFTWARE MEDIA IN DOCUMENTATION:
The typical software documentation types are system Design and Functional Specifications, change Management, Error and Enhancement Tracking, requirements/ Statement of work/ Scope of Work, user acceptance testing, request for Proposal, manpages, oftware Design and Functional Specification. These software tools can automatically collect data of your network equipment. The data could be for inventory and for configuration information.
