Fayol's leadership principles: He has presented a simple model of management that interacts with their personnel. In his theory, he has given the emphasis on 14 principles of management. By his theory, skills can be used to improve the basic effectiveness of a manager. His 14 principles like division of work, authority, discipline, unity of command, unity of direction, the subordination of individual interest to the general interest, remuneration, centralization, scalar chain(Formal chain of command), order, equity, stability and tenure of personnel, initiative, esprit de corps( Harmonius efforts) helps in planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating and controlling the business activities effectively.
This leadership theory helps in the health care sector in the following ways:
Weber's theory of leadership: He has given the three types of leaders charismatic, traditional and Bureaucratic. This theory in the health care sector helps by way of a bureaucratic leader as this leader has capacity but he also works as per legal and competence procedures because of his rational approach he is able to solve many complex issues in the health care sector.
charismatic and traditional authority won't be much success as a charismatic leader works for an unjust system. which is negative for the healthcare sector. traditional power works on dominance it may suffer from a moral regularity that is harmful to the healthcare sector.
Mayo's theory of leadership: He believed that workers are not just happy with money but also by fulfilling their social needs. He said byways of better communication between managers and workers, greater manger involvement in employees working lives and through working in group s or teams. In short, he emphasized businesses should reorganize production to encourage greater manager involvement in looking after the employee's interests.
