Expert Solution

As a leader , one must be able to make all the members work as a team without being effected by any cultural issues or differences they have . We need to let everyone get involved in the negotiation and express their ideas on the subject so that they would not feel left out. We need to help anyone who is finding it difficult to understand other's language. It would be advisable if the leader can make them speak in a common language so that everyone can understand. The leader need to maintain common work culture so that everyone needs to follow it and hence they will not let any cultural differences outside work come in their work . This helps the negotiation to be smooth and without any issues. When everyone are let to speak out, they would automatically get involved in the negotiation and concentrate on work rather than their cultural differences.

In order to optimize collaborations in global context, a leader needs to be patient, authoritative yet gentle, must have complete knowledge on the subject , good communication skills, proper attitude so that no one gets offended. We must have knowledge on what the collaboration is for and why we need it so that we can help the team in discussions and decisions . In global context there may be cultural or any other differences which we need to deal with . A leader needs to be authoritative so that everyone follows them and they must be able to make others listen to them. But this authority must be gentle and the leader must give importance to everyone withour any bias so that maximum efficiency can be obtained from the collaboration. The ability to lead must come with proper attitude which is neutral and in no way offends any one culture or tradition . The ethical conduct must be proper and the team must be guided to follow the culture of the company and not of their own so that everyone can be made to work together withour any differences.
