based on your knowledge of clinical disorders identify different clinical conditions that could cause problems with the following steps in gas exchange
A. VENTILATION
B. DIFFUSION
C. PERFUSION (TRANSPORTATION)
A. Hyperventilation syndrome: it is a respiratory disorder psychologically or physiologically based that involves breathing too rapidly or very deeply.
B. Cystic fibrosis : the decreased chloride ion diffusion can cause cystic fibrosis . It results into dehydrated respiratory secretions, which causes increased viscosity of mucus that accumulates in lungs.
C. Ventilation perfusion mismatch : it is a condition in which some areas of lungs receive more oxygen but no blood flow, or they receive more blood flow but less oxygen for transportation. So basically there is a mismatch of ventilation and perfusion.
