Chapter 9: Love Learning
What is the most interesting thing you have learned thus far? If
you have not learned anything interesting about the brain, then
what is the most useless topic covered in this class?
Lastly, how has this class helped you explain emotion regulation,
mindfulness, and /or behavior?
One of the most important things that I have learned about this class is to be aware of my own, thought, emotions and behaviours by becoming mindful of it. This would mean that when people become aware of themselves and their activities, they would develop mindfulness which would help them enjoy what they do and derive satisfaction from it. The best thing about human beings is that they could alter their attitude thus change their life entirely. Thus, human brain has endless capacities to help people unlearn, learn and relearn things that they want to learn or change while also helping them with memory, attention and consciousness. Being mindful would not only help one gain more understanding about oneself but also about one’s own environment. It would also help one live one’s life in the present without worrying about the past or anxious about the future.
