Describe three ways discussed in this section of the course in which America's justice system (e.g., arrest patterns/rates, trial outcomes, incarceration rates) makes it harder for Black citizens/families to succeed and/or easier for White citizens/families to succeed.
One of the most important factors that plays a major role in determining the society’s treatment of people from different races is their accumulated racial advantage. While the white people have their accumulated advantage in terms of education, employment, housing, healthcare, political participation etc., people of color struggle to get access to them. the continued oppression in the form of institutional racism and the so-called war on terrorism and war on drugs target people of color, especially the African and Hispanic males to be locked up. This would directly impact the families that depend on them by forcing them to go into poverty and illnesses. Thus, the invisible white privilege and institutional racism together makes life easier for the white while make life a hell for the African American families who endured centuries long unjust slavery at the hands of the white majority.
