The topic is: blood pressure.
Think about the parts of the homeostatic mechanism. choose one of the following real-life examples and explain how it illustrates the concept of the homeostatic mechanism. You should identify the stimulus, receptor, control center, effector, and expected results for the chosen example. You should also predict what would happen if there was a breakdown in the homeostatic mechanism. You may need to do a little bit of outside research to reply to this prompt... although you are expected to identify the basic parts of the homeostatic mechanism using your example, you are not expected to understand the mechanistic details of your example.
Homeostatic makes the body adjustable with the external environment. Our internal environment should be in balance with the external environment. If there is a temperature difference we may feel hot or cold and it becomes difficult to stay in such situations. So our body try to adjust with it by shivering syndromes.
In case of blood pressure it is also maintained under the homeostatic mechanism. If the blood pressure increases the baroreceptors in the aortic arch and the carotid artery will identify it and send the messages to the vasomotor and the cardiac centre in brain. There the control measures are taken and the motor neurones takes the messages to the heart and the blood vessels. As part of it the blood vessels dialate and the heart rate decreases. If we run for some time this thing happens. If the homeostatic system was not there and if the blood circulation and the pumping pressure doesn't increase we won't be able to run or our muscles won't get adapt to that and we would move like a tortoise all the time. And if the blood pressure increase when we run and if the homeostatis doesn't reduce it the pressure remains the same after sometime the blood vessels begin to leak as they fail to resist the pressure and the breakout glow can be seen in the brain and stroke may happen and leads to death. So without this homeostasis we can't get adapt to the situation and to the environment. We are adapted to live in this environment and thus homeostatis is so important for us
