BUSINESS ETHICS
1. How does the engagement of workers contribute to organizational culture? How are executives interested in the ethical culture?
2. List a variety of ways to remind your staff and colleagues of your ethical standards. How do you, as an employee, convey the management's ethical standards?
1) organisational culture comprises of the values, behaviour, principles, ethoes and the history of the firm. The culture also govern work pattern and kind of atmosphere of the premise. Every member of the firm is implied to follow the cultural values and never go against it. Management dealing with recruitment, also consider the candidates who are culturally fit and can easily adapt the environment.
Employees who are happy with their work and environment, stay engaged to their job. And this makes them improve their behaviour as per the work standards, and cultural norms. They adapt the rules, abide by the principles and practice, remain ethical, and respect the beliefs of the firm. Thus, contributing their work and behaviour towards the retention and encouragement of the culture.
Executives are interested in ethical culture when the ethical practices are rejoiced, and rewarded. When the organisation don't tolerate ill practices, recognise good work, and promote equity, executives stay ethical and motivated.
2) there are variety of ways that can be used to remind the staff and colleagues about the ethical standards. Viz, policies and handbooks, promoting the ethical values through examples and setting the milestones to deal with issues or problems with right approach. Employees and colleagues follow the seniors, thus, they should comply the ethical values and never set any bad example.
As an employee, I will comply the ethical standards by staying righteous, avoiding misconducts and never tolerating the illegal or unethical practices. With focused approach to do the job, growing the career and maintaining the work life balance, it will be easier to remain calm, contended and ethical.
