Yes the workplace of an organisation is affected very much by its organisation culture. An organisation culture is responsible for employees stability, happiness and even stress. Increase employee participation positively affects the self esteem of employees and make them stay in the organisation. Also healthy atmosphere of respecting and appreciating employees also increases the loyalty and honesty of employee toward the organisation. Better organisation culture reduces the stress thus increasing the productivity in the organisation leading to growth and better revenue.
I would focus on certain attributes to have a healthy organisation culture with include equal opportunities to employees and appraisal on the basis of performance and not bias decisions. Respect, integrity and honesty should be the traits of each individual .Replacing competition with coordination to have better team work. Having clear authority , responsibility and reporting relationships in order to have better control. Employee recognition, participation , empowerment and job enrichment would be some essential aspects of the work culture.
