The American Recovery and Reinvestment act 2009 was a fiscal stimulus that ended the great recession. The congress approved obama's plan which had put money into the pockets of many families and small business people.
1. Through This act families received tax cuts, tax benefits and unemployment benefits. A payment of additional 250$ Was given to receipients for social security, veterans pensions and security home benefits.
Deduction of tax for new car purchase. Unemployment benefits were extemded for 33 weeks.
2. ARRA also created jobs by funding shovel ready public works. Most of the money was spent in water projects and transportation and mass transit project.
3. This demonstrated that the federal government supported clean energy.
4. This helped to expand health care- subsidised the greater health care cost that recessions create. It also begins to computerize medical records. That facilitated exchange of patient medical information such as tests.
