In long term, care is a necessary regulatory function of people
under the control of individuals, intentional and on their own
initiative.
Some put self-care on a continuum with health care providers at one
end of their self-medication, while others see a complex
relationship. In modern medicine, vaccines are most harmonious with
self-medication. Lack of adherence to medical advice or the onset
of mental illness can make self-medication difficult. Self-care is
seen as a partial solution to the increase in health care costs
imposed on the government. The idea that self-medication is an
important pillar of health care and social care means that it is an
essential component of the modern health care system, as defined by
laws and regulations.
Self-care is considered as a basic form of care for patients with
chronic illness who make daily decisions or manage their own
disease. Self-management is crucial and self-management education
complements primary patient education to help patients live the
best quality with chronic conditions. Self-care is learned, focused
and continuous. In philosophy, self-care refers to self-care and
self-improvement in a holistic sense, with a particular focus on
the soul and self-knowledge.
