Social media play a important role in our daily life.The dramatic growth of social media in recent years has not unnoticed in the health sector.Social media like Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter are increasingly used to spread the information about the health care, professionals and patients.In recent time,ethical issues are growing in social media related to public health research.The most important factor is that, Public health research must be worked in the ethical principles set the the authorities and the government that protect the individual users first and foremost information.

Some of the Ethicals issues related to the social media for the public health research are:-

Privacy - Privacy of the patients or any person related to the Public health is depend on the social media.because in social media the research is leaving the permanent online trace of the person.which is not ethical.It can effect the life of the person.
Anonymity and Confidentiality - Confidentiality of the person or the patients data is vary important.but,because of Social media, it can be spread around the world.which is affecting the daily routine as well as affecting the life of a person.So, in research the information regarding the health of a person must be anonymity and confidential.
Authenticity - In the social media,it is very difficult to analyze the authenticity of the information regarding the person health.because in social media everything is not true.It is unethical for the public health to spread the unauthorized information in social media.which can affect the life of the person.

So, by these points.we can say that using the person/patients information for the research with there identity is unethical and it can affect the person.
