Expert Solution

1. Psychometric issues related to assessment and diagnosis of Reliablity.

Reliability in psychometrics and statistics is the measure of overall consistency. A measure is known to have a higher reliability if it provides the similar results under uniform circumstances.

Scores which is stable are specific, reproducible, and constant from one testing occasion to another testing occasion.A correlation coefficient could be used to evaluate reliability in a test. For the test to reliable, it is needed to depict high positive correlation.

Internal reliability evaluates the compatibility of results to the items within the test. External reliability concerns to the degree to which a measure modifies from one user to another user.

2. Psychometric issues related to assessment and diagnosis of Validity.

Validity is the most common issue in selecting a test. Validity relates to the question-
What point will the test measures and how well the test measures that point?

Validity shows if the component being measured by a analysis is similar to job requisites. Validity provides meaning to the test scores. It is the indication of the linkage between test administration and job production. It can tell us what we have to assume or prognosticate someone of his or her score on the test. It also illustrates the extent to which we can make explicit resolutions or forecasts about people based on their test scores. In another word, it symbolizes the application of the test.

The concept of validation is considered the most significant form of validating psychological devices, and which is plausible. Because it develops the direct ways of testing the theory of the behavioral description legitimacy of hidden features. Therefore, it is correlated with the psychometrics theory supported here.

3- Psychometric issues related to assessment and diagnosis of Standardisation-

Standardisation is an arrangement regarding the method of the test performance. Standardisation of test administration assures that the evaluation is carried under special conditions which can be replicated. A standardized test presents you with assurance about replicating the test and assures that all applicants are treated in the same way.

It is also significant because it guarantees the objectivity of scoring and management requirements. For the standardization of test, it is essential that all applicants are reviewed in the same way for ethical and classification standards.

For example, if one applicant was determined to give an ability test, such as the Swift Comprehension Aptitude test, in a silent room, and another applicant offered the test next to a construction site which is loud, then it is reliable to say the applicants who began the test in loud situations would be affected by the noise.

Applicants performance in the test could be modified because of disturbances, for which we have to be attentive about the circumstances under which the test was conducted.
