Realibility is a consitency of a measure and validity is the accuracy of a measures. it is important to consider both in research design, planning methods, writing results in quantitative research. it helps generate our finding to major population.sensitivity and specificity measure for valid. it measures the accuracy and positive of the test. sensitivity is the ability of the test correctly to identify the disease. specificity is a ability of the test correctly to identify the results who do not have the disease, it wont provide false-positive results. sensitivity measures positive results for the people who have the condition that is being tested that provide true positive rate. screening female populaiton by cervical smear test is a sensitive test. many women with positive cervical smear have colposcopy found to have no underlying pathology. research results pertain to validity.validity is a measure refer to the degree to actual measure.
