Explain the difference between validity and reliability. Explain NHANES and BRFSS.
The difference between validity and reliability is that validity refers to how well a test measures what it is purported to measure. While reliably is necessary it alone is not sufficient. For a test to be reliable it's needs to be valid.
Validity of measuring instrument represent the degree to which the scale measures what it is expected to measure. Reliability refers to the degree to which measurements produces consistent outcome.
