Expert Solution

Validity:

It is the measure of a research instrument in terms of accuracy. Accuracy means how much perfectly an instrument calculating what it is trying to calculate.

Suppose an weighing machine is here. If that is showing 1.00 Kg for putting one kilo of sugar means weighing machine validity is high. If that is showing 1.10 Kg for putting on kilo of sugar means validity of weighing machine is low or poor.

Example of validity in Behavior analysis:

If a person is responding according to situation his validity is high.

" Barak Obama finds solutions based on problems"

Reliability:

It is the measure of instrument in terms of consistency.Consistency means how many times an instrument showing same type of calculations or measurement.

Suppose a weighing machine showing 1.00 kg by putting one kilo of sugar 1st time and showing 1.10 kg by putting one kilo of sugar for second time means weighing machine is non reliable. Suppose that is showing 1.00 kg by putting one kilo of sugar for 1st,2nd,3rd times etc., Then reliability of the weighing machine is high.

Example of reliability in behavior analysis:

If a person taking same type of decisions for same type of problems then he is called as reliable person.
