Expert Solution

One of the most important benefits of drinking moderate alcohol is good for the health. This would mean anything in moderate level is always good for health. It helps in digestion, reduce the heart related diseases etc. Secondly, social drinking helps people develop and keep their social connections. This would mean that when people consume alcohol, they would have more social time and open talk which would save them from many stressful episodes. Finally, drinking alcohol would reduce the loneliness one would experience and the psychological struggles one would undergo. This is because people would be able to ponder their own life while drinking as they would go past their pain and struggle.

One of the most important disadvantages is the deterioration in health because anything in excess is not good for health. Many people today have become ill due to their excessive alcohol intake. It would limit people from becoming productive and force them to absent themselves from their work. Secondly, alcohol consumption would cause more relationship issues, especially in family environment. This would lead to more domestic violence and if both the parents drink excess alcohol, their children would also suffer. Finally, drinking excessive alcohol would force one to engage in deviant behaviours which would not only spoil the reputation of the individuals but also would create issues to the criminal justice system.
