Explain what connectivity is between neurons. Why is there such a high degree of connectivity between neurons? How do these connections relate to your experiences?
Answer: Neurons are connected by synaptic impasse. There is a gap between two neurons that is called sybapses. Here, electric signals are converted into chemical signal and then transferred to post synaptic neuron. Trillions of synapses works together to communicate successfully in our body.
To respond to any stimuli, our brain needs information through our sensory organs. Sensory organs only collects the information. These informations are then transferred to brain by upstream neurons. If connectivity of the neurons gets hampered, informations won't reach our brain. Or the quality of information will decrease. That's why high level of connectivity is required between the neurons.
When we experience anything through our sensory organs, neurons send signals to our brains instantly. Speed of the communication is so that that it take the fraction of a second to react to the stimuli. Connection between neurons is a one-way traffic, that insure fast and uninterrupted flow of signals.
