Albert Bandura's Bobo Doll experiment changed the way we think
about modeling and social learning. In your opinion, do you think
that children learn violent behavior from playing video games?

Expert Solution
Lot of research has been done on this topic, and evidence does
exist that young children who play violent video games for longer
hours,do dispaly aggressive behaviours.Research has shown that when
young children and teenagers see individuals in television shows or
games, they tend to connect with them and try to model their
behaviours, especially when such aggressive behaviours our
rewarded.Physical aggression might increase in such children
leading to hitting,fighting,vandalism in schools.
Though I agree with this point of view, but I also think that
some children may have a genetic vulnerability to develop such
behaviours,as not every child who plays violent video games develop
aggressiveness. Some children are genetically more prone to develop
such behaviours than others.Children with difficult temperament are
more prone to developing aggressive behaviours and playing violent
games can trigger this influence even more.
In what ways has learning about psychology changed the way you
feel about the discipline? What information in this class had the
greatest impact on the way you think about psychology? How will you
apply this new knowledge in the future? Do you think it is
necessary for a person in your field of study to learn psychology
and neuroscience? Explain your answer.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITYThink about how your company's social responsibility has changed
your purchasing decision. What changes will you have in the future
as a result of your learning? Consider your last three largest
purchases. (EX: Men's products, household appliances, foodstuffs,
etc.) Go to the website of the company that manufactures the
purchased product and explore the company's commitment to social
responsibility. Are they more or less than they expected? Does your
discovery make a difference to you about your purchases...
1. The social learning
theory of Bandura emphasizes the importance of observing and
modeling the behaviors, attitudes, and emotional reactions of
others. Since most behavior is learned through observing others, we
store this information for future guidance and actions. When
answering the questions below, identify how and when social
learning was part of the experience.

In this problem we consider another way to think about the
rational numbers. Normally we would write fractions as p/q for p ∈
Z and q ∈ N. In this problem we represent fractions as ordered
pairs. So let S = {(p, q)|p ∈ Z and q ∈ N}.
For ordered pairs (p, q) and (r, s) in S define (p, q)R(r, s) if
and only if ps = qr.
You should think about how this is related to the...
How do you think new technology has changed the way we
communicate? How many of you attend meetings in an online
environment? Are they effective? How is interpersonal communication
affected in this environment?
When we experiment, we always want to think about sources of
experimental uncertainty. In the lab "Measurement and Uncertainty"
you learned about random errors and systematic errors. Let's think
about some potential sources of uncertainty in this experiment.
If the uncertainty is random, fill in R. If it is systematic,
fill in S.
