Writing Strategies 3.1
What are the importance of choosing the right writing strategy to effectively deliver your message:
As the name is suggesting itself that direct approach of writing is something in which the main idea comes in top lines of passage and sometimes even in first line. Further detailing come later on. Indirect style of writing is something in which various evidences/supporting ideas are being presented before the main idea.
Various details are being provided in indirect approach of writing. This is being done to grab the attention of reader. Vice versa condition takes place in direct approach of writing where supporting details are provided in later parts of written body.
Direct approach can be adopted in spreading of neutral and non controversial messages. It may provide happiness to reader. Suppose we are writing a letter to our cousin who have topped the examination, then such news can be given to him/her with a direct approach.
Indirect approach is being adopted to show a gratitude for readers' feelings. This is being adopted to avoid any kind of emotional hurting at any level. If we write something bad or harsh with a direct approach then it is basically considered as arrogance. If we are providing some negative news to someone then it should be delivered in an indirect manner.
