What is the importance of choosing randomly and having a control group in an experimental model?
The control group contains participants who do not receive the experimental treatment. when conducting a experiment these people randomly selected to be in this group. they resemble the participants who are in the experimental group or the individual who receive treatment. while they did not receive the treatment, they play a important role in research process.
IMPORTANCE OF CONTROL GROUP
Control group does not receive the treatment, it does play a important role in experimental process. this group serves as benchmark allows researchers to comapare both the groups - experimental and control groups to see what sort of impact changes to be independent variable produced.
because participants are randomly assigned to a particular group it can be assumed that the group are comparable. any diffrences between the two groups are therefore the result of manipulations of the independent variable. experiments opted same procedures for both the groups with the exception of manipulation of the independent variable in the experimental group.
