Explain in detail the following question:
Life will not be the same for any company which survives the cover-19 pandemic crisis. Organization will have to change and adapt.
Question: Select an organization which is likely to survive, in your opinion. How might it change? Describe 3 factors / levers which such an organization can use to promote change.
The statement indicates the impact COVID-19 has made on us, entire mankind. We can never forget the loss of lives and the feeling of terror within us who stay indoors hoping and praying the virus does not attack us or our near-and-dear ones. Our lives have changed drastically and social distancing is the only weapon we possess.
Organizations will now begun to focus on improving the IT and software systems so that work-from-home is facilitated. They will focus on cleanliness and ensuring minimum or no contact between employees. For example, employees will be discouraged from having lunch or tea together. Face-to-face interactions, trainings and seminars would be avoided. Focus would be to reduce contact and use technology to achieve a seamless transfer of knowledge and information.
The online retailers will gain higher support from Governments of countries who have been against it due to losses incurred through tough competition to the offline vendors and distributors. Amazon has shown a tremendous change to adapt to the changes in the situation. It has checked all their personnel for COVID-19, train them on precautionary measures, de-activated cash-on-delivery option and facilitated contact less delivery.
Amazon has a well-established customer base and they are focused on ensuring the customer's basic needs are satisfied.
Secondly, Amazon is working closely with the government to ensure all rules and regulations of lockdown are being followed.
Thirdly, it has extended the return policy duration so that the deliveries can be now focused upon.
