Leaders are an integral part of the organization. While, not every leader has excellent leadership skills, it is important to train the leaders by using several methods and techniques. Some of them are listed in the bullets below:

  • Communication is the key to leadership. Hence, communication trainings are a must for the leaders in the today's world. A good communication will lead to excellent results.
  • Relationships trainings are the important trainings to undergo a leadership skill program.
  • A leader is not just good at the soft skills, they are to be good at the technical part of the role. A technical skill can be taught to a leader. A leader is necessary to excel at the technical viewpoint and hence, a training in the specific is necessary.
  • Departmental trainings are necessary as different departments work in different situations. The aim is same while the way to achieve it is different for all ofthem. Hence, a training is required.
  • Experience is the best training.

A leader is created or born?

The below pointed opinions will be the conclusion:

Trait 1: A clear and achievable vision -

As a human being, i need to learn to create and communicate my vision to others to convince the followers. It is possible that i will not be succeeding in my first attempt, however, i will succeed in future, which is the quality of a leader. I will have to learn this from failures.

Trait 2: The ability to influence and motivate -

This trait is not inbuilt in any human being, but the culture in which we grow and the way we learn things inspire us to learn this trait. Someone born and grown in an adverse culture will have difficulty achieving this trait. However, for some others, it will be easier. Bot not impossible to anyone.

Trait 3: Capacity to Adapt -

The only constatnt is change. A leader is good at adapting to changes. Hiwever, changes can be stressful to others but not impossible. A leader who is made learns how to adapt to change.

Trait 4: Willingness to accept responsibility -

As a leader, i must assume responsibility not just for myself but my followers as well. A leader can learn the ways and gain the confidence to accept the responsibilities.

Trait 5: A desire to learn and grow -

I may not have such a desire today, however, i may become a great leader tomorrow. Because, i generated the desire in myself by constant practice. I achieved a trait of a leader in myself.

The above traits explains the fact that leaders are made but not born.
