Describe the definition of nursing as put forward by the American Nurses Association. How does it address the metaparadigm theories of nursing?
Definition:
According to American nursing association states nursing is the protection, promotion and optumijation of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individual, families, communities and papulation.
Metaparadigm theory:
The metaparadigm of nursing is comprised of 4 points. It includes person health, environment, nursing.
Phenomena of Nursing: it consists of nursing action or nursing interventions. Think of this concept as what nurse do . this concept includes the professional knowledge, procedural and technical skills and indirect patient care.
Person:
Person is one of the receiving the nursing care. The nurse need consider how the patient define family when planning the care.
Health:
It refers to patient level of wellness in all its many aspects. It includes physical, psychological , mental, intellectual, amotional , spritual.
Environment:
The enbienviron consists of internal , external , and social factors that impact the patient health. It includes culture , interpersonal relationships education level , economics , mental state.
