People who resides in hospitals are with vulnerable health conditions,wo needs not only the medication and also the costant care inorder to improve their health status.
Usually medication must be prescribed and administered by the health professionals only to avoid the medication errors.
Medication administration must have the 6 rights and 3 checks when administering to the patient.those 6rights are
1.right person
2.right medication
3.right dose
4.right time
5.right route and
6.right documentation
Non skilled person cannot have these 6 rights unless they are well trained in medication administration.

they may administer the medication and do errors and cause life threatenuing situations by following wrong mprocess of medication administration.
there is a chance of errors like,

problem statement Description
*wrong person - administering to wrong patient
*wrong medication - getting confusion with name of medicine
*wrong dose - failure to calculate dosage appropriately
*wrong route - administering IV,stead of IM is fatal
*wrong time - because of lack of knowledge on drug action(sedatives at day time)
*wrong documentation. - documenting before administering and forgetting administration or administer drug and not documenting.

So it is better to avoid Non skilled person to administer medication.
