What three recommendations would you have for traditional retail brands to survive in the increasingly digital and online world?
Traditional retail brands is a system where products are sold in stores, mostly smaller in size and owned by families and typically unorganised in nature.
The following are the three recommendations for the traditional retail brands to survive in the increasingly digital and online world:
1. In order to transfer the traditional methods of retailing, retailers can now opt for digital technology and thereby provide value added services for their customers. Embracing technology transformation like having an online store, providing door delivery through applications etc can be used.
2. Retailers can have the point of sales machines which are used not just for billing but also for sending relevant offers, promotion etc through phone calls, message and other modes. This machine could also help them understand the customer behaviour.
3. Contextual engagement can also be used wherein customised promotions and offers can be sent according to the customer’s requirement.
