The most significant problems with the way foreign aid is presently dispensed by international lending institutions are that it does not truly focus on how to really stop corruption and wasteful spending. It also hurt the countries that are in need because of their trade policies. What some countries require as it relates to importing and exporting goods usually ends up hurting the country receiving the aid because they can

1. If corruption is going to always be an issue, stop the aid, the people are not getting the benefit from that. As the local govt usually takes over and distributes the funds where they believe it is needed, but they don’t spend enough time actually looking into the areas that are in need.

2. All countries that receive foreign aid must be willing to be watched closely to make sure those who need the aid is getting the help they need. Similar to the processes we have here in the US. we have a human services department that ensures that those who need help can get it. it is not perfect but it can help issuer that the people needs are being met.

3. Countries who have promised to give aid to help must follow through their commitment unless the country that is receiving the help is not following the guidelines that are required to receive help.
