NUCLEUS:- The word "Nucleus" is derived from the latin word "Nuculeus" meaning "The Kernel". It is the most prominent organelle inside a cell. It contains the genetic character of the cell. It protects the cell against environmental stress, ensures its repair and duplication. Nuclear domain includes a variety of nuclear bodies and sub- compartments rich in protein complexes like as DNA and RNA.
PROTEIN:- The word "protein" comes from the Greek "proteos", meaning the first one or the most important one. Protein is the body’s most important building block. Our life takes place in proteins, and we store vital information in proteins. When we learn something, it happens by changes in protein structures. When we propagate our genes and pass them along to the next generation, it also takes place through proteins. We grow, we change, and our entire lives occur in proteins.There are only 21 different amino acids from which all animal and plant proteins on earth are constructed. Eight of these 21 amino acids are known as essential amino acids, because our body is incapable of synthesizing them. We must obtain these eight amino acids through our diet.
FUNCTION:- Proteins perform most of the work of living cells. They control cell division, metabolism, and the flow of materials and information into and out of the cell. The location of a protein within the cell often suggests something about its function. Proteins that travel from the cytoplasm to the nucleus when a cell is exposed to a growth factor, for example, may have a role in regulating gene expression in response to that factor. A protein often contains short amino acid sequences that determine its location in a cell. Most nuclear proteins, for example, contain one or more specific short sequences of amino acids that serve as signals for their import into the nucleus. These special regions of the protein can be identified by fusing them to an easily detectable protein that lacks such regions and then following the behavior of this surrogate protein in a cell.
The nucleus is the structure responsible for containing DNA and providing a place for replication and transcription. These processes make sure that the instructions on how to make you who you are carried out. This is obviously a very important , so to keep the cell functioning at top speeds, the nucleus is a well-organized structureThe nucleus is surrounded by a nuclear envelope, which is a double membrane comprised of an outer membrane and an inner membrane Some proteins need to be in the nucleus to assist in process such as replication and transcription. Only very small quantity of proteins can get into the nucleus through the nuclear pores. The enclosure of the genetic material inside a organelle has allowed localized control mechanism to operate inside it. It frees the cell's gene expression and gene regulation process from the unwanted cross activity of metabolism. Now, the enzymes and other proteins are required for chromatic structure. The proteins involved in this are thus able to both enter and leave the nucleus. The need to enable specific proteins to enter and leave the nucleus has lead to the mechanism in which proteins derived for the inside of the nucleus contain within their amino acid.Thus, proteins plays a important role in nuclear structure.
