IMPORTANCE OF SHAPE OF ANTIBODY:-
- Antibodies also called as immunoglobulins.
- Antibodies are made up of protein consists of four polypeptides chains
2 heavy chains
2 light chains
Both are joined in 'Y' fashion.
- there are two regions-
(a) variable region- involve the ends of the light and heavy chains.
- fragment antigen binding(Fab) that include the variable ends of an antibody.
(b) constant region- consists of mechanism used to destroy antigen.
