Emphasising the importance of portion control in meal planning. give examples from your daily diet about how you implement this in your day to day eating
Portion control is described as the right amount of food that is served. If the portion or the size of meal is more than normal then there are chances of person over eating and if the portion size is less than a person will lack of sufficient nutrients. Hence it is important to control portion of the meal.
Important of portion control in meal
1. Over eating is avoided in control meal
2. No starvation incase portion size is less
3. Nutrients are balanced
4. Amount of protein, carbohydrates is balanced
5. It also helps in weightloss
6. Encourage healthy lifestyle

Implications of portion control in daily diet
Our daily diet should include adequate amount of protein, fats and carbohydrates. Hence our meal portion should include 25% Complex carbohydrates, 25% protein, 1/2 plate vegetables and less than 20% fats.
To get adequate amount of protein our diet should include poultry, fish , meat , beans and pulses.
Our meal should include hardly 7gram of fats i e half cube cheese or 2-3tsp oil
Whole grains are the rich source of carbohydrates hence one small bowl of grain in sufficient in our portion size.
Hence by using the examples we can plan our portion size and implement it in our daily life.
